4/14 Dragon Gate Results

Dragon Gate wrapped up CHAMPION GATE today with their monthly Tokyo big show, results from Korakuen via SportsNavi:
They claimed 2350 paid (a Full House). SportsNavi incorrectly is listing the crowd at 235. Yikes.
Genki Horiguchi, Ryo Saito & Naoki Tanisaki beat Don Fujii, Kenichiro Arai & Taku Iwasa in 8:56. Tanisaki pinned Iwassa after Implant.

Takuya Tomakomai beat Super Shenlong in 1:48. Squash. Might be singles win #1 for Tomakomai.

Naruki Doi & Gamma beat Shingo Takagi & Cyber Kong in 14:50. Doi pinned Kong after Bakatare Sliding Kick.

Open The Freedom Gate Champion YAMATO beat Yasushi Kanda in 15:27 to retain the title. V3 for YAMATO.

In a Triangle contra Dispersion match, Open The Triangle Gate Champions CIMA, Dragon Kid & Ricochet beat BxB Hulk, Pac & Susumu Yokosuka in 29:39 to retain the titles. CIMA pinned Yokosuka after Meteora. V2 for the champs. As a result, the WORLD-1 faction must disband.

Masaaki Mochizuki beat Open The Dream Gate Champion Masato Yoshino in 25:31 to win the title. Mochizuki wins the title for the 2nd time and becomes the 13th Open The Dream Gate Champion. The Speed Star finally ran into an unbreakable wall. Yoshino’s impressive 9-month reign has ended as this time youth couldn’t overcome age and experience. Mochizuki becomes only the 2nd 2-time Dream Gate Champion (CIMA).

Next Dream Gate title match will likely be on the major 5/5 Aichi Prefectural Gym event. Challenger TBA but SportsNavi hinted at YAMATO. Not definite yet.
As noted after the Triangle Gate title match, WORLD-1 is no more. But a new super-faction was hinted at combining non-post members, the former WORLD-1 members and KAMIKAZE to unite against Blood Warriors.

I’ll post yesterday’s (4/13) results once DG posts official results on their website. Yeah, I know they’re up elsewhere but I don’t trust independent/3rd party websites anymore. Too many mistakes for my liking.
