Indy News: KING OF TRIOS Night 2 Results

04/16/2011

Night 2 of KING OF TRIOS is in the books, results from Philadelphia:
Archibald Peck Open Challenge: Archibald Peck beat Colt Cabana in 9:13.

KING OF TRIOS Quarterfinals:
F.I.S.T. (Icarus, Chuck Taylor, Johnny Gargano) beat Osaka Pro (Atsushi Kotoge, Daisuke Harada, Ultiamte Spider Jr.). Taylor pinned Gargano after a schoolboy. Booooooooo. Osaka Pro huge over with the crowd.
The Osirian Portal (Ophidian, Amasis, Hieracon) beat Dragon Gate (Akira Tozawa, Super Shisa, KAGETORA) in 21:48. Hieracon pinned Tozawa after a 450 Splash. And once again Japan will be buried in favor of an all-CHIKARA final, I bet.
The Colony beat BDK (Jakob Hammermeier, Tim Donst, Delirious) in 13:05. Fire Ant beat Delirious with a Torture Rack.
Michinoku Pro (Jinsei Shinzaki, The Great Sasuke, Dick Togo) beat Mike Quackenbush, Manami Toyota & Jigsaw. Sasuke pinned Quackenbush after a powerbomb.

Rey De Voladores Eliminator 1: El Generico beat Pinky Sanchez, Marshe Rockett & Zack Sabre Jr. in a 4-way elimination match in 20:47. Order of elimination: Sabre by Sanchez, Rockett by Sanchez, Sanchez by Generico. As a result, Generico advances to tomorrow’s Rey De Voladores final against the winner of another 4-way eliminator later tonight.

Eddie Kingston beat Arik Cannon in 9:18.

Rey De Voladores Eliminator 2: 1-2-3 Kid beat Frightmare, The Amazing Red & Obariyon in 16:29. So it’s Kid vs. El Generico tomorrow.

Normally I’m not one to criticize others’ work but this note to the person at PWInsider.com (I should post his name & email so he can be shamed accordingly) who did the results last night: Get them right next time. Oh, and it’s Shisa, not Shisha. Brush up on your puro while you’re at it, dude. (I’ve since corrected a lot of the results now that CHIKARA has posted them)

Reminder also that Night 3 results will likely be delayed and not live. It starts at 4 PM ET but my work schedule has me going until 5:30 PM ET today so the earliest I’ll be online tonight to check for results is 6 PM ET. I instead may wait until Monday for CHIKARA to post them so we get them right the first time. This is another example of my disdain towards 3rd party websites like this-they don’t always get it right.
