The pneultimate event of NOAH’s Global Tag League is in the books, results from Niigata City East Comprehensive Sports Center:
They claimed 2000 paid (sellout).
Masao Inoue beat Akira Taue in 8:03.

Shane Haste & Atsushi Aoki beat Mikey Nicholls & Katsuhiko Nakajima in 12:07. Aoki pinned Nicholls.

Ricky Marvin & Yoshinari Ogawa beat Taiji Ishimori & Bison Smith in 11:41. Marvin pinned Ishimori.

Kotaro Suzuki, Shuhei Taniguchi & Go Shiozaki beat Genba Hirayanagi, Yoshinobu Kanemaru & KENTA in 18:16. Suzuki pinned Hirayanagi.

Global Tag League:
Yutaka Yoshie & Takeshi Morishima beat Kento Miyahara & Kensuke Sasaki in 15:13. Yoshie pinned Miyahara after a diving body press.
Akitoshi Saito & Jun Akiyama beat Chris Hero & Claudio Castagnoli in 16:13. Akiyama pinned Castagnoli after a wrist-clutch Exploder.
Takuma Sano & Yoshihiro Takayama beat Mohammed Yone & Takashi Sugiura in 25:56. Sano pinned Yone.

Akiyama/Saito: 4-2, 8 points
Morishima/Yoshie: 4-2, 8 points
Takyama/Sano: 3-2-1, 7 points
Shiozaki/Taniguchi: 2-2-1, 6 points

Hero/Castagnoli: 2-4, 4 points
Nakajima/Sasaki: 1-5, 2 points
All 8 teams compete Friday in the final matches. The matches are as follows:
Sano/Takayama vs. Morishima/Yoshie
Sasaki/Nakajima vs. Smith/Inoue
Shiozaki/Taniguchi-Hero/Castagnoli
Sugiura/Yone-Akiyama/Saito
The 2nd & 3rd matches are irrelevant to the final outcome. But we’re almost 100% certain to have a tiebreaker match to determine the winners after all the matches are completed. The only way there can be an outright winner is if one of the 2 matches between the teams still in it goes to some sort of draw.

The tour and tournament wrap up Friday.
