Whether in the studio, in the ring or in the political arena, The Great Sasuke is gearing up to return home to hard-hit northeastern Japan to help his fellow earthquake-affected people any way he can. In addition to recently recording a CD with a popular singer from Sendai (pictured above on right), which will go on sale June 22 and a portion of profits donated to disaster relief efforts, Sasuke’s Michinoku Pro will run tomorrow for the first time in the area since the disaster and Daily Sports reports Sasuke is going to once again run for a seat in the Iwate Prefecture Parliament. He was first elected in 2003 but lost a bid to become governor in 2007. The elections are scheduled for sometime this summer. This after Sasuke just returned home from a trip to the US earlier this month to participate in CHIKARA.
