Although the big story from New Japan is their US debut tonight, the talent that didn’t make the trip took part in a show back in Japan earlier today. Results from Shinjuku Face:
They claimed 400 paid.
Takaaki Watanabe Debut Match: Hiromu Takahashi beat Takaaki Watanabe in 7:03.

Wataru Inoue beat Kyosuke Mikami in 7:24.

Tomoaki Honma & Tsuyoshi Kikuchi beat Keisuke Ishii & Shigehiro Irie in 12:05. Honma pinned Ishii.

Manabu Nakanishi beat Taishi Takizawa in 8:59.

KUSHIDA & Kota Ibushi beat Taichi & TAKA Michinoku in 15:38. Ibushi pinned Taichi after Firebird Splash.

Hirooki Goto beat Tomohiro Ishii in 10:44.

Yuji Nagata & Hiroyoshi Tenzan beat Tamon Honda (Independent/Freelancer) & Jun Akiyama (NOAH) in 17:11. Nagata pinned Honda with a backdrop hold.

He originally planned to attend college after high school, but dreamed of becoming a pro wrestler and decided to embrace Buddhism and subsequently enrolled in the famed Animal Hamaguchi Gym. After more than 4 years of practice he finally passed the New Japan entrance test in December 2009 and joined the promotion officially in February 2010. And today he made his in-ring debut.
