It’s once again time for a much-needed dose of Black Charisma. While making an appearance today to promote & discuss a new special edition of a J-League (soccer, Japan’s version of leagues like MLS, UEFA, Premier League, etc.) magazine for a Yokohama-based team, Masa Chono of course briefly talked some wrestling, namely the recent All-Japan turmoil that left Nobukazu Hirai (Super Hate) hospitalized and unconscious and forced President and longtime friend Keiji Muto to resign. Based on my translation, Chono seems to think what happened is not management’s fault but there need to be more preventive measures in place to ensure wrestler safety outside the ring and prevent a recurrence of incidents like this (although they do seem to be very rare in puro). He also briefly mentioned ALL TOGETHER on 8/27 but didn’t appear to commit to participating in the Big 3 All-Star event just yet.

(Update: Since it wouldn’t let me hotlink anymore I’ve since saved a copy and uploaded it so it’ll work again)
