6/14 ZERO1 Results (Updated)

ZERO1 is ran it’s latest ZERO1 WRESTLERS event today, quick results from Korakuen via SportsNavi:
As always, they didn’t announce attendance.
Yusaku Obata beat Yoshikazu Yokoyama in 10:37.

Kohei Sato 10th Anniversary Match: KAMIKAZE, Shito Ueda & Frank David (gaijin) beat Kohei Sato, Kenta Kakinuma & Alan Slex (gaijin) in 13:43. David pinned Slex after a 450 splash.

Dick Togo Final ZERO1 Match: Dick Togo, Ikuto Hidaka & FUNAKI beat Masato Tanaka, Munenori Sawa & Fujita “Jr.” Hayato in 14:02. Togo pinned Sawa after a diving senton.

ZERO1 International Jr. Heavyweight Champion Takuya Sugawara beat Mineo Fujita in 20:57 to retain the title. V1 for Sugawara.

ZERO1 World Heavyweight Champion Ryouji Sai beat Mark Hussein in 10:25 to retain the title. V2 for Sai.

Akebono & Yuichiro Nagashima (K-1) beat Shinjiro Otani & Daichi Hashimoto in 19:25. Akebono pinned Hashimoto. Nagashima is one of the more popular K-1 fighters in Japan, not only for his success but also his cosplaying tendencies. Think Hikaru Sato & Shinya Aoki put together. Me no like.

UPDATE: If I’m reading a SportsNavi article correctly, Daichi’s next match will be against Yoshihiro Takayama, which will happen at the next Korakuen on 7/3.
There also will likely be a  match to determine the next challengers to NWA International Lightweight Tag Team Champions Kaijin Habu Otoko & Takuya Sugawara. It looks like Ikuto Hidaka & Munenori Sawa will be in it, but I can’t tell from translation if they’re teaming or will be on opposite teams.

I saw one on SportsNavi and a couple more over the last few weeks. I don’t know much about him personally because I don’t follow K-1 too closely but he’s one that has a popular cosplay gimmick/personality, similar to Hikaru Sato.

Scorpion-it’s cool, no big deal. Things get lost in translation sometimes, thanks for trying to help though.

Did you happen to see a pic of Nagsahima? What is up with the red hair? Don’t see that too much.

Fair enough, just wanted to point that out. If SportsNavi lists it as such that’s good enough for me. Wasn’t trying to criticize, just trying to help. Thanks again for the work you do.

SportsNavi, which is a very reliable source, listed it as a title match, and it had been mentioned as such elsewhere.

Thanks as always for the fine work you do on this blog. One thing though, I think the match between Ryouji Sai and Mark Hussein was non-title. Every other source I look at list it as a standard singles match, so it might be something to look into for sake of accuracy.
