J-1 Grand Prix 2011 Finals: TLW World Women’s Singles Champion & Hybrid Fighting Champion Hailey Hatred beat JWP Openweight Champion Leon in 21:30 to win the tournament and the JWP Title and retain the other titles. Hatred becomes the 17th JWP Openweight Champion. This one nearly popped my eyes out. I’m going to check the title histories but she might be the first gaijin to win a major women’s singles title in Japan, at least in the post-AJW era, and certainly the first to do it in JWP. Absolutely unexpected.

OZ Academy from 6/26 at Shinjuku Face:
Ayumi Kurihara beat Nao Komatsu in 11:06.

Takako Inoue beat Io Shirai in 10:54.

In a handicap match, Yumi Ohka & Police beat Chikayo Nagashima in 15:18. No outside interference/seconds were allowed per Mayumi Ozaki.

Mayumi Ozaki, Dynamite Kansai & Sonoko Kato beat Aja Kong, AKINO & Ran Yu-Yu in 17:18. Kansai pinned Yu-Yu after a diving foot stomp.

Manami Toyota & Carlos Amano beat OZ Academy Tag Team Champions Hiroyo Matsumoto & Tomoka Nakagawa in 20:40 to win the titles. Toyota & Amano win the titles for the 2nd time and become the 13th OZ Academy Tag Team Champions. Toyota pinned Matsumoto after a double impact-type Sea Of Japan atomic bomb.

Ice Ribbon from Saturday at the Ice Ribbon School:
They claimed 80 paid.
Every match was part of an “Adversity nine” series, all matches were 1 minute time limit-9 girls in 8 consecutive matches each (but in actuality every girl was in 16 matches). I counted how many matches there were, there were 72. I can’t possibly list them all so I’ll just list records:
Emi Sakura: 0-0-16
Hikaru Shida: 11-2-3
Tsukushi: 11-2-3
Chii Tomiya: 3-4-9
Kurumi: 2-4-10
Mochi Miyagi: 4-3-9
Meare Naito: 0-5-11
Maki Narumiya: 0-6-10
Dorami Nagano: 2-7-7

Because Shida & Tsukushi had the best record, at the request of both they had additional matches: The first one went to a time limit draw, then Shida won in 28 seconds to win the whole thing.

News: Triangle Ribbon Champion Tsukasa Fujimoto vs. Neko Nitta vs. Ray in a 3-way for the title is set for Wednesday’s event.

Stardom News: The promotion has created it’s first official titles. The WORLD OF STARDOM Champion & WANDER OF STARDOM Champion will likely be first awarded on 7/24 at Korakuen. The World Of Stardom Title is a singles title that is intended to be a world title, not just one for Stardom. The Wander Of Stardom title is intended to be for Stardom talent only. It appears they will do scramble matches to crown the first champions.
The belts:

Stardom from 6/26 at Shin-Kiba 1st Ring:
They claimed 355 paid (overflow).
Eri Susa beat Mayu Iwatani in 9:58. This is Eri’s first career win, but 2 more seconds and it wouldn’t have happened (time limit draw).
