7/18 Ice Ribbon Results

Ice Ribbon returned to Tokyo for a second co-produced event with the 666 promotion, results from Shin-Kiba 1st Ring (Since I know almost nothing about the 666 promotion there will be a lot of omissions/unknowns here, all I really know about them are maybe their 2 biggest stars-Shinobu & Yuko Miyamoto):
They claimed 666 paid (a Full House). Haha. While I get it, certainly not accurate, I think the most legit Full House there is maybe 550.
Onryo beat ? in 5:36.

Mixed 1 Day Tag Team Tournament
Yuko Miyamoto & Chii Tomiya beat Shinobu & Mochi Miyagi in 7:08. Tomiya pinned Shinobu.
Hikari Minami & ? beat Neko Nitta ? in 5:49. Minami pinned Nitta.
Hikari Minami & ? beat Yuko Miyamoto & Chii Tomiya in 8:28 to win the tournament. Minami pinned Tomiya.

THE101 & K666 beat Beggar (?) & KOUZY in 7:01. THE101 beat KOUZY with an STF.

In an elimination match, Riho, Tsukasa Fujimoto & Hikaru Shida beat Emi Sakura, Makoto & Tsukushi in 14:55. Order of elimination: Makoto by Fujimoto at 8:51, Shida by Tsukushi at 9:31, Fujimoto by Tsukushi via OTR at 11:23, Tsukushi by Riho at 13:21, Sakura by Riho via OTR at 14:55. Riho remains and wins for her team.

In what my translation says may have been a “rear end sumo wrestling” (haha) match, this all happened:
K666 beat Makoto.
Yasuhiro Katsura Jr. (?) beat Chii Tomiya.
Neko Nitta vs. KOUZY went to a no contest.
Emi Sakura beat Yuki Miyamoto.
Tsukasa Fujimoto beat Beggar.
Mochi Miyagi beat ?.

What may have been a singing/dancing competition was then won by 666 over Ice Ribbon.

Some kind of other gimmick match was then won by Ice Ribbon.

Back to business as usual for Ice Ribbon tomorrow.

The biggest legit crowd i’ve heard about at Shin-Kiba was 435.

Onryo beat Mumei Nagaya. Kouzy is actually GENTARO. The tag match that ended at 5:49 had Dynasty and Konaka Pale One in it.

The same has been said about Riho for a while now, despite her age she’s already something like a 4-year veteran and she’s a former ICEx60 Singles Champion, of course Sakura took the belt back very quickly. But if she can do what Fujimoto has done this year, and even if not, the sky’s still the limit if she sticks with it. And I could probably come up with quite the list of weird wrestler names from the roughly 25 years I’ve been a fan!

A part of me (actually the whole of me) just loves to see Riho put on fantastic efforts on these elimination matches. Not to mention that she owned the boss Sakura and her counterpart Tsukushi. And then I asked myself “Why did Riho lost her title match against Emi?”. This is a girl with a very bright future, if she continues to wrestle in Ice Ribbon, isn’t it true? By the way, Minami’s partner is someone called Dynasty and yes, there was a wrestler called Beggar (weird name…).
