7/31 All-Japan Results

All-Japan wrapped up the Summer Action Series tour today with their latest major event, results from Aichi Prefectural Gym:
They claimed 3250 paid. Not good.
Soshun beat Yasufumi Nakanoue. Match time not available.

Kaz Hayashi & Shuji Kondo beat Manabu Soya & BUSHI in 12:15. Kondo pinned BUSHI.

Akebono & Ryota Hama beat Joe Doering & Rene Dupree in 5:56. Akebono pinned Dupree after a body press.

Masakatsu Funaki & Hiroshi Yamato beat Minoru Suzuki & MAZADA in 13:51. Yamato pinned MAZADA.

All-Japan World Jr. Heavyweight Champion KAI beat Minoru to retain the title. Match time not available. V1 for KAI.

All-Japan World Tag Team Champions The Great Muta & KENSO beat Taiyo Kea & Takao Omori in 16:17 to retain the titles. KENSO pinned Omori after a double kneedrop. V1 for the champs.

Triple Crown Champion Suwama beat Seiya Sanada in 28 minutes to retain the Triple Crown. V5 for Suwama.

The next tour starts August 13 and runs through August 28.

    True based on those numbers, but I tend to compare claimed numbers to the building’s capacity, or more specifically what a Full House might be. I think today’s number is only about a 1/3 full building, which to me doesn’t seem too good for what I consider a major event, let alone one with 3 title matches.

    It’s not really that bad when compared to previous years

    02.05.2010 – 3,200 Fans
    30.05.2009 – 3,350 Fans
    29.04.2008 – 3,200 Fans
