If there’s one thing I actually like about this photo, it’s that joshi legend Dump Matsumoto is still alive & kickin’ despite reports years ago she had an incurable medical condition and had only 3 years left to live…although on the down side, that means, if true, she has perhaps only 8-9 months left. And she is apparently the next legend to be challenged by one Yuzuki Aikawa, who today held a presser to announce the full Yuzupon Matsuri 4 card and that she’s facing Matsumoto in the main event. Naturally Matsumoto couldn’t help but take a Singapore cane to the bouncy-bouncys after Yuzuki apparently called Matsumoto, as I’m taking from my translation, old. Mistake as Yuzuki then got caned in the chest. Hard. Naturally, afterwards Yuzuki swore to do the most important thing in the match and the future-protect the bouncy-bouncys. Yeah, that is very important! At the very least, the aftermath also shows that she is perhaps the toughest bikini idol out there, she really took some shots!

The full 8/21 Yuzupon Matsuri card:
The opening performance will be by a group I believe is also affiliated with the Platinum Production talent agency
A 3 minute exhibition match featuring Yuzupon Mask
Sanshiro Takagi & Munenori Sawa vs. Yuji Hino & DJ Leek
Nanae Takahashi & Saki Kashima vs. Natsuki*Taiyo & Yoshiko
Yuzuki Aikawa vs. Dump Matsumoto. 30 minute time limit

Now should you wish to see more of the Yuzuki-Dump altercation and aftermath, and I know you do, click below. And you’ll see that, of course, even Yoshiko got in on it! (The Stardom girls were at the presser too, at least the ones in the match) (All post-jump photos are from Yuzuki’s wrestling website, yuzupon-ring.p-kit.com) Oh, and of course the first photo above is prominently featured on the front page of SportsNavi.

Agreed, while she’s very pretty and has become a great wrestler, it’s the bouncy-bouncys that are her money maker and always have been, but the fact she seems at least willing to take a shot there does say something about her. And as we saw following her debut match, those marks will go away soon enough. Either way, anytime I get a chance to see legends like Dump or Jaguar Yokota in the ring these days, no complaints. As for the DJ, I’ve always called him Leek mainly because that’s what I get from translating.

If there is one thing that people can’t take from Aikawa, is that she knows her priorities and what is more important to her. And if she can protect them from 30 min. of Dump, she can protect them from anyone. Should be an interesting encounter. And in the man’s tag match, I think that DJ’s name is not Leek, it is Nira (I’ve seen him in DDT before and I believe that it is his real name).
