ZERO1 News: 8/7 TItle Match Possibly Off

On one of it’s Japanese news sites, ZERO1 is reporting there will be a late change to tomorrow’s Korakuen event, and it could have title implications-Kaijin Habu Otoko, half of the NWA International Lightweight Tag Team Champions, will have to miss the event. ZERO1 parent company First On Stage announced this within the last hour. He planned to fly to Tokyo yesterday, presumably from Okinawa, but all flights were cancelled for unknown reasons. He then tried to fly to Tokyo from Fukuoka, but those flights got cancelled too. He tried other methods to get to Tokyo in time but nothing was going to work and therefore he’s now off the card. He was scheduled to team with co-champion Takuya Sugawara to defend the titles against Ikuto Hidaka & Takafumi Ito. No word yet on what the new match will be or what the status of the titles could be with this in all likelihood now-scratched defense.

More as it becomes available.
