Based on what I read on NOAH’s website (and the ALL TOGETHER site, which has since been updated with the card), I’m assuming the 10 man as well as every match will be a normal 1 Fall match. Genba is probably in there to be the jobber and take the fall if his team loses.

What baffles me is how Ibushi is stuck in the opening match, while the rest of the Big 3 Jr. Singles and Tag Champs are in that 10 man tag (is that going to be a normal tag match or elimination style?). What’s Genba doing in that match anyway? He’d be more suited in the opener or the Battle Royal.

Still an exciting looking card though, despite some strange booking.

Really? Lack of singles matches.. How do you fit that many wrestlers into a night of singles matches. Not going to happen!
And as for gaijin, prince devitt will be there. It’s def not a full roster from all 3 orgs so someone has to miss out. And as much as I love bad intentions they wrestle almost every njpw show.
As someone who is going to be there I’m super happy with this card. So many legends in one night.. and id rather this than singles matches where people miss out. It is a charity event after all, not super j cup…

Agreed on the lack of singles matches, I certainly would’ve been fine with non-title matches between the champs considering how there’s been some talk of it and Shiozaki hinted at wanting to face Nakamura at the event. But I guess they wanted to get in as many wrestlers from each promotion as possible, and off the top I can only think of a couple names missing as a whole (the obvious being Kyosuke Mikami and King Fale, the only others that come to mind are injured)…and I don’t think I saw Bad Intentions anywhere on the card either. I know they’re gaijin but…uh…oops?

If you compare KENSO now to when he was Kenzo Suzuki in WWF/E, I’d say there’s been some improvement, but I also think some of it is the old “superstar rub” as well as his partnership/rivalry with Muto and his alignment with VM As for the semi-main, they’re probably going to be little more than fodder for the Kobashi Chops, likely either an extended glorified squash or perhaps they’ll lose by DQ..

RIDICULOUS! I cannot wait! My tickets came in the mail for this yesterday!

This looks… interesting. I’m very intrigued by the the Liger & Funaki & Sano team. However, KENSO in the main event seems just stupid. Or has he improved a lot since joining AJPW? I actually don’t watch much modern puro, I prefer the classics.
Also, Iizuka & Yano in the semi main? Another odd decision IMO. Well, let’s hope this event will turn out well. I was a little shocked that they “only” chose Budokan which seets like 16000 people. I think they could have easily gone for a 30- or 40000 seat venue or stadium, or even the Dome. However, I guess that didn’t work out because for that kind of shows you need big time sponsors, which apparently they didn’t really have for this show. That also explains why they didn’t book major single or title matches, they would be wasted on this occasion. Maybe on 1-4-12 we will see such a supershow in the Dome.

Wow. Just… wow. It’s a bit disapointing that there are no singles matches, but there is so much talent that it’s impossible to overlook. The main moments? No Fear comes back for one night! Apollo 55, Suzuki and Nakajima together! A battle royal! Liger and “MMA legend” Funaki in a team! Anyway, I’m curious about one thing. I know that events like this don’t create storylines, butKENSO being in the main event makes me ask a question, is he going to challenge Suwama after this one? Because his partners have relations with the champs (Suguira: former champ, Nakamura: possible number one contender to Shiozaki), which would lead to some more interpromotional title matches. Nevertheless, it is going to a historical event…
