The final event is tomorrow at Ryogoku. Here’s how the scenarios look for the finals:
Block A: Tanahashi still only has to win to advance (Naito). If he loses, any of the Top 6 still have a chance if they win (but Naito might have the slight edge because he’ll have just beaten Tanahashi).
Block B: The only one that will be out for sure is the Suzuki-Nakamura loser. If it goes to a draw, any of the other 3 can advance, and all have favorable matchups (Goto has Man, MVP has Anderson, Kojima has Tenzan).
The match order is the remaining 9 G1 prelim matches first, followed by IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Champions Prince Devitt & Ryusuke Taguchi vs. Kota Ibushi & Kenny Omega for the titles and finally the G1 Finals. The event is a PPV in Japan.
