Big Japan ran their monthly Tokyo big show today, results from Korakuen via SportsNavi:
They claimed 1081 paid.
Daikokubo Benkei & Tomokazu Taniguchi beat Mototsugu Shimizu & Jun Kawauchi in 3:25. Taniguchi pinned Kawauchi with a schoolboy.

Yoshihito Sasaki & Kazuki Hashimoto beat Shinobu & ? in 10:08. Sasaki pinned ? after a lariat.

In a handicap match, Men’s Teioh, Mineo Fujita & Onryo beat Atsushi Ohashi in 8:18.

Shinya Ishikawa, Bad Bones (gaijin) & ? beat Daisuke Sekimoto, Ryuichi Kawakami & Takumi Tsukamoto in 14:05. Bones pinned Tsukamoto after a shadow driver.

In a Hardcore match, Ryuji Ito, Yuji Okabayashi & Shadow WX beat MASADA, Kankuro Hoshino & Masato Inaba in 15:09. Ito pinned Inaba after Dragon Splash. (FYI for those new to Big Japan-MASADA is a gaijin and is not the same person as and is not related in any way to All-Japan star MAZADA)

Jun Kasai & Jaki Numazawa beat Yuko Miyamoto & Isami Kodaka and Brahman Shu & Takeshi Minamino in a 3-way in 14:11 when Numazawa pinned Miyamoto.

In a Flourescent Lighttubes & Sword Mountain Death Match, Abdullah Kobayashi beat Takashi Sasaki in 17:50. As a result, Kobayashi can earn a Big Japan Death Match Heavyweight Title shot if he beats Kankuro Hoshino at the next Korakuen on 9/19.Whoever gets the next shot (right now it’s between Kobayashi, Sasaki & Hoshino) would face Ito or whoever is the champion at some point later this year. Ito is next scheduled to defend the title at a CZW event in Philadelphia on September 10.

    Not sure, hard to keep up with what’s happening in some of these indies sometimes due to lack of information/updates.

    Hm, odd that Shu didn’t team with Kei. Injury?
