Suwama

Suwama is a 5-year veteran viewed as a future ace of All-Japan. When he debuted he competed under his full name, Kohei Suwama, although after teaming with Keiji Muto and apparently having some bad things happen, he was forbidden by Muto from using his first name and would then compete as just Suwama. This coincided with his aligning with the Voodoo Murders stable in 2006, where he stayed until turning on then in early 2008 and re-joining the All-Japan Home Unit. A major push quickly followed as Suwama won the Triple Crown in spring 2008 and reigned for 5 months as well as winning the 2008 Champions Carnival. But after dropping the Triple Crown to Muto he faded a bit but managed to climb back into title contention in mid-2009, ultimately coming up short in a Triple Crown shot against then-champion Yoshihiro Takayama. He remains on the verge of the top tier but whether or not he’ll be able to reclaim ace or future ace status and the Triple Crown remains to be seen.
Suwama helped create a new faction in All-Japan called New Generation in mid-2010, mostly comprised of younger and less-experienced talent viewed as up-and-coming talent in the promotion, consisting of himself, Ryota Hama, Seiya Sanada, Manabu Soya and Masayuki Kono. They are currently engaged in a feud with the veterans of the promotion. Suwama also reclaimed the Triple Crown in August 2009 by defeating Minoru Suzuki in a marathon match that went nearly 45 minutes.
