Isami Kodaka

One of the more popular death match stars in Big Japan, Isami Kodaka is a 7-year veteran who currently appears regularly in Big Japan although he is affiliated with DDT (more specifically the promotion’s Union Pro sub-brand). He originally debuted in K-DOJO but moved to Union Pro in 2005 while also appearing elsewhere as a freelancer. He soon began competing in death matches thanks in part to hardcore veterans like Jaki Numazawa & Jun Kasai, but was sidelined in June 2007 due to a herniated disc that caused him to miss nearly a year. He returned to action in May 2008 in Union Pro then returned to Big Japan a couple months later. He continues to compete regularly in Big Japan, and is a former BJW Tag Team Champion although these days he’s more focused on trying to end Yuko Miyamoto’s year-plus reign as Big Japan Death Match Champion. He’s still affiliated primarily with Union Pro though, where he competes as ISAMI. In summer 2010 he began appearing in Ice Ribbon, where he helped Chii Tomiya win the International Ribbon Tag Team Titles.
