Shinobu Kandori

profile_kandoriShinobu Kandori is the founder of LLPW and a 23-year joshi veteran, and until roughly 2008 was the president of LLPW. She has been less active in recent years partly due to her balancing wrestling and politics. In the ring, she debuted in August 1986 and competed in All-Japan Women and Japan Women’s Pro Wrestling before joining LLPW. She was made LLPW President in 2002. In 2004 she ran unsuccessfully for the House Of Councillors (the upper house of the Japanese Diet), but when another member resigned in 2006 she was allowed to join. She serves today while maintaining a limited wrestling schedule. Additionally, she also is a judo medalist-in 1984 she won a Bronze medal at the World Judo Championships.
Kandori’s political time ended in July 2010 when she lost her re-election bid in the Upper House Of Councillors.
