Mitsuo Momota is perhaps the oldest-active wrestler in Japan at 61 and a nearly 40-year veteran of the sport. He is best known as one of the sons of the legendary Rikidozan.
Momota competed in All-Japan from early in his career until 2000, when he left as part of the mass talent exodus to form NOAH. He won one title in AJPW, the All-Japan World Jr. Heavyweight Championship in 1989. In NOAH he was primarily used as a jobber in opening matches, losing far more often than he won.
Momota left NOAH in early 2009 for unknown reasons, and has apparently been inactive since then. There are rumors he is now retired.
