Misaki Ohata

profile_misakiohata Misaki Ohata was one of the youngest members of IBUKI who is starting to make a name for herself. After starting out in JDstar and bouncing around since the promotion folded, the 20-year-old recently won her first major title, claiming the JWP Jr. Title (and POP Title) in May 2009 and already has 2 successful defenses as of August 2009. Although she lost the title in December 2009, she capped off an incredible breakout year by winning the WLW World Young Women’s Tag Team Titles with Moeka Haruhi. She also does a bit of freelancing, appearing in various promotions throughout the joshi landscape as she slowly climbs up the ranks. Like stablemate Hiroyo Matsumoto, Misaki is one to keep a close eye on as she appears well on the way to becoming a future superstar.
Misaki turned heel in early 2011, undergoing a major gimmick/persona overhaul and aligning herself with Yumi Ohka’s multi-promotion heel faction. Misaki now primarily competes in WAVE & OZ Academy and occasionally in JWP but still maintains freelancer status. She also has made a couple of appearanes in the US.
