19 Pro Wrestling Internet Singles Championship History

The 19 Pro Wrestling Internet Singles Championship, aka Internet Wrestling 19 or simply “IW19”, is a singles title in 19 Pro Wrestling. The title was introduced by 19 Pro founder and top star Sayaka Obihiro in February 2011. The title has some unique stipulations attached to it: All matches are 19 minute time limits, the champion must defend at least once every 4 weeks, and unlike in other Ice Ribbon title matches if a match ends in a time limit draw, the champion retains the title. Also, the champion can determine the next challenger at anytime and after making 10 appearances on 19 Pro, a wrestler can make a challenge for the title, and in neither case can either side reject the challenge/nomination (but a wrestler can only make this challenge once and it is not cumulative-20 appearances does not mean 2 challenge rights). Finally, all matches must be streamed on 19 Pro’s Ustream channel regardless of when/where matches are held. The title was first awarded in March 2011 when Tsukushi won a tournament to become the first champion.

To this date there have been 3 IW19 Singles Champions.
1-Tsukushi. 1st reign. Length: 3/22/2011-5/27/2011. Successful defenses: 3. (Note: 1st defense went to a time limit draw. Tsukushi retained title as a result)

2-Hikari Minami. 1st reign. Length: 5/27/2011-6/1/2011. Successful defenses: None.

3-Chii Tomiya. 1st reign. Length: 6/1/2011-7/22/2011. Successful defenses: 2. Returns/vacates title after 7/22/2011 defense due to disagreeing with being allowed to keep title after defense ends in time limit draw. (Note: Most recent [2nd] defense went to a time limit draw. Tomiya retained title as a result)
